A Merry Christmas

Reading time: 3 minutes

On Monday and Tuesday we have besides worship and some practical arrangements for the outreach, we spent time setting up and decorating the tables and the room, because Wednesday was Christmas of course! And how great it was! Went to the beach with the whole DTS in the morning for a BBQ breakfast; eggs, sausages, bacon, toast, etc. Then we took time for worship and read the Christmas story. After a refreshing dip in the sea and a nice walk back, we had an extensive lunch with the whole base (205 men) at 1:00 pm. Super cozy atmosphere, song & dance performances in between, gifts and good conversations. In the evening we ended the day by playing hide and seek, using all the buildings on campus!

On Boxing Day we started worship and intercession with our outreach team. After lunch we went with about 35 people to Crystal Creek, a great lake in the mountains, among the rocks! Although it was a bit rainy and the sun did not shine that day (exception!), The temperature was still great for swimming and jumping off the rocks.

After a great night on Castle Hill (the mountain behind the base) where we prayed for the town with the team that evening, we were ready to head to Airlie beach for our second outreach on Saturday morning. Although breakfast was already at 7.30am, we eventually left with an hour delay at 9.30am. After a long but enjoyable road trip (with some traffic jam & a dead end shortcut) we arrived at 14:00 at the YWAM WhiteSunday Base (270 km away) where we will spend next week! We were warmly welcomed by the base's YWAM team. After a nice meal together and a nice game of rugby in the pool, it was time to go back to our new stay. We sleep in different houses close to each other, which creates a very cozy and homely atmosphere.

Today (Sunday) we went to church in the morning, then Dave taught us about evangelism (which we will put into practice next week!)

I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    Dear Daphne,
I finally figure out how to send my answer to you. You probably didn't receive my previous response.
I enjoyed your report. Much more fun than my Bible school !!!
Enjoy it and grow 'like cabbage'.
